Wilkinson Sword, renowned for its precision instruments for 250 years, embraced digital transformation with MaintMaster to optimise operations while maintaining quality and style. The transition from manual to digital maintenance documentation, led by Jan Roden, aimed to overcome inefficiencies and lack of visibility. By choosing MaintMaster for its flexibility, reporting and analysis capabilities, the company increased preventive maintenance from 3% to 10%, improving machine availability and efficiency. The digitisation effort, which included training and a full software rollout by August 2021, marked a significant step towards involving machine operators more directly in the maintenance process, moving away from paper-based methods to digital documentation for improved communication and operational efficiency.
