Conveyor screws play an important role in various recycling processes and offer efficient solutions for transporting and handling materials. Good wear protection is important because the materials are often abrasive.
The selection of wear-resistant materials depends on various factors, such as the material being conveyed, grain size and conveying speed. Our KALOCER aluminum oxide ceramic is often used. It protects against extreme abrasive wear, promotes sliding and is characterized by a very high operating temperature. It is also corrosion-resistant and can be manufactured precisely in thin walls for a weight-saving overall lining.
KALMETALL hardfacing welding is extremely impact and abrasion resistant and is used to produce long-lasting conveyor screws. Kalenborn uses the wear-resistant material to manufacture the screw flights and the shaft.
The variety of our own wear-resistant materials enables us to produce the right lining for every requirement.
