High performance detector FSM

T&B electronic GmbH presents its FSM multichannel detector for system areas in which both sparks and embers can occur. This VdS-certified detector detects both sparks and embers – through the use of a specially manufactured semiconductor detector.
While sparks have a typical temperature of over 750 °C, embers have a typical surface temperature < 300 °C. Up to now, a specific detector was required for each of these, as classic spark detectors are only suitable to a limited extent for detecting embers for physical reasons. If you use the new combi-detector FSM in areas where sparks and embers form, the effort for installation and maintenance is reduced – with the same functionality and safety. Plant operators can invest these savings in the fire protection of downstream processes into which hot particles can enter. In order to comprehensively and reliably prevent fires and explosions in filters, conveyor systems, silos, mills, dryers or shredders, individually tailored solutions are required. Each of the fire risks in the different plant areas can only be controlled with the right detector. With the development of the Kobi detector, T&B rounds off a wide range of different detector types and can now offer customers the best possible detector for every need.
