KIA is a dual higher education programme leading to a bachelor’s degree after 4 or 4.5 years, or to a diploma in engineering (FH) after 5 years, with integrated vocational training including a Chamber of Industry and Commerce qualification.
Learn the profession as a construction mechanic and integrate studies in mechanical engineering.
The training:
Construction mechanics produce steel and metal constructions. To do this, they use manual and mechanical processes to produce individual components, e.g. from sheet metal, profiles or pipes. The parts are then put together and assembled into a component. Your training locations are:
KREISEL GmbH & Co. KG in Krauschwitz,
the association partner ALSTROM Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Görlitz and
the Christoph Lüders vocational school centre in Görlitz.
You will complete the apprenticeship in 2.5 years and finish with the IHK skilled worker qualification.
The course of study:
You will complete your studies in mechanical engineering at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. During your practical phases, we offer you interesting and varied tasks as well as the implementation and evaluation of project-related experiments.
